I went to fill up it is 3.75 now. I almost had a heart attack. I don't know how much more of this we can take. Just had to post and see how it is in your neck of the woods.

We're $3.57 in NE Ohio. I'm so glad I only live 3 miles from my job, so I only need to fill my tank every 2-3 weeks. And the President's an oil man...hmmmmmmm Rolling Eyes

it's "only" $3.45 here (NJ is cheap for one thing...gas). It's only going to get worse...much worse. Luckily my husband and I work at the same place so we carpool almost everyday.

It sucks even more because it is causing everything else to go up in price (i.e. food) due to extra cost to transport it.

$4.05 for regular here.... saw on the news last night that oil is at $120 a barrel, and they predict that it will go up to $200 a barrel. They said that means $7- $10 a gallon. Shocked

$3.56 here yesterday for unleaded.
My husband drives semi and said he's seen it as high as $4.22 so far.

Lucky for us, Greg brings his truck home with him, so has no fuel expense to go to work and I'm now staying home so I plan and combine my trips as much as possible even though town is only 2 miles away.

But we're still seeing the huge increase in prices on everything else affected by the gas hikes. I feel very lucky not to have to drive to work right now.

Sad as it is, people are simply going to have to adapt their driving accordingly. For so long we've been willing to drive quite some distance to live in one place and work in another... if this keeps up those days will have to end. I used to drive 32 miles one way to work and know many others who still do. How long can they afford to keep it up is anyone's guess.

haha. Denver probably has some real horse power!

I may really have to take up skijoring in the winter to help the 20km commute to campus.
