Hi all, Just wondering if anyone else has a labradoodle from Gooseberry Farm? Just inquiring about the breeder and the health of the labradoodles.

Hi!
I don't have a dog from Gooseberry farms. But, I did look at the site and the puppies are adorable....but I do not see any health warranty listed (2 years is what I would want with a refund for any medical expenses...not a new puppy) and I do not see any health testing of the parents listed. I would inquire via email about their policies.

Hello and welcome!
Linda has given you some great advice. It is soooo important to get a puppy from healthy parents (tested, with results available to you) and to get a good health warranty.
All puppies are adorable...and most breeders are nice folks...but if something goes wrong, you want a breeder you can trust to stand by you and to help you with your puppy.
There are many articles on this forum about how to select a good breeder...this breeder may well be one of those really good ones (I don't personally know of them, so I can't say)...but you should do your homework and then ask very pointed questions. If you are happy with the answers, you will probably be happy with your purchase...if any discomfort in the answers or too much secrecy...keep looking!
Either way, I hope that you will check back in and introduce us to your new puppy!

i just wanted to say this; ask a breeder about warranties. mine doesn't adverstise but does give one. meaning, if something happens or whatever she'll take back the doodle and refund your money.

she also visited my house 2 times in the 1st month !!!
we've become friends nwo but still she calls me and others wanting to know how her puppies are doing in thier new homes.

so if someone doesnt advertise warranties and such...just ask them then.

It still really needs to be in writing however.

HI We are a small breeder of F1B Labradoodles in Rhode island. We offer an extensive contract that covers puppy health and hips for three years. We would gladly send you a copy along with pictures of our past litters and email addresses of current adoptive parents of our litters. We have pictures posted throughout the site and have been members of this site for 8 months. If you have any questions about the breed or just need information please feel free to contact us either by email or phone Hope this helps you in your search locally. Laughing
