The weekend of April 11,12 & 13 there is a trade show here at our convention center called Everything Pets.
It will feature not only dogs and cats, but all the finned, furred and feathery friends people love.
Over 130 vendors will feature their wares and there will be a dock diving competion, a cat show, a 'yappy hour', the spca is holding their annual "Fur Ball" fundraiser at the site and a production crew from Late Nite with David Letterman will be on hand Saturday auditioning for Stupid Pet Tricks! To name a just few of the events.

Why am I promoting a Cincinnati Trade Show even if it is for pets? Because my darling husband is the owner and producer. Shocked

I keep making the joke that some women's husbands have a mid-life crisis and buy a sports car or dye their hair ... mine rents out the whole convention center!

It is a daunting venture, but a good turnout will mean he can continue and evenually produce the show in other cities around the country.

I am asking all my forum friends to think positive thoughts, and send good doodly wishes our way ... I am so proud of him and scared to death ... he's not sleeping and is kinda crabby! If you are anywhere in the 45202 vicinity, please come by ... it truly will be fun (unfortunately because of liability issues only pets registered for events are allowed in) but I think Ebbe is going to get an All Doggy Pass!

Sounds like fun. I have plans Saturday but I am talking it up to my husband. So who knows maybe we will cover over. Sounds neat. I like the kids activities. This should be fun.

Sounds like great fun Mary! The least hubby can do is give Ebbe (and you) a 3 day VIP pass. She can be Queen of the event!! Make sure to take pictures!! Wink

I DO know what it takes to put on a trade show and believe me, it is A TON of hard work! ALL the BEST this weekend!

May it go off without a hitch, may the doors never stop swinging from people coming in, and may the event spark off MANY more successes to follow!!

Please please please come to New Mexico if he takes this on the road!!

I knew I could count on my forum friends for positive energy and Marc was quite touched to read your good wishes.

Since the advertising started this week there has been a serious buzz about the event. Folks Marc's staff contacted about participating are now trying to jump on the bandwagon! One of which is PetSmart who said it "didn't fit their image" Shocked

Complete Petmart is a sponsor and now our store of choice.

The local FOX affiliate is going to broadcast from the site next Friday morning ... doing the weather cut-ins during their morning show (7A-9A) ... Ebbe's trainer will be featured with Benny "the perfect dog" (also the sweetest!) And Ebbe may be too ... I think as the "before" example. Embarassed

In a sweet bit of irony ... this is the same station that eliminated my job last fall and fired me after twelve years!

So we are nervous and excited ... ready for it all to begin. We are hoping for a cloudy, damp, can't-do-anything-outside weekend weather-wise. So keep the good thoughts coming and I'll add more updates as they become available.
