OK, SOMEONE'S gotta ask...........................

Just saw this thread.....this is the first time I have really gotten involved with American Idol. I have to say tonight's performance by David Cook was the best of the best!! I think he should win the whole shebang!

There is some very talented folks on the show this time...seems like more than usual, but as I said, I have only just this season paid much attention to the show.

I think Paula is on pain killers and drinks on top of that. She gets really
goofed up trying to spit out what she wants to say.
I think she really bugs me. ( sorry! )

Love David Cook! He is (IMO) the most talented, the most watchable, and I love his voice. He can make any song sound great Cool

Loved Billy Jean, a great song, and a great version - he should go far whether he wins or not.

The rest - eh, all a little cheesy. Michael Johns did pretty well tonight, and Carly was ok. Total Eclipse of the Heart is a little too karaoke for me though =)

I loved David Cook too. I've had enough of Shakeezie (I know I spelled that totally wrong) and the kid with the long hair (can't remember his name). Unfortunately I could see Carley going tonight based on voting from the past few weeks.

I still think it's either Kristy Lee Cook or Ramiele going tonight. Carly will make it to the top 3, for sure.

Jason Castro might be in the bottom 3. He really doesn't seem like he is taking it seriously. Simon was dead on in all his observations last night.

I had to work last night, so didn't find out the results til late. Even though his sing was "dated", I really liked Chikezie's performance. There were better choices of one's to go last night. I have to remember it's a popularity contest mostly...... Rolling Eyes

Like Paula said last night though...they are all talented, and they've gotten great exposure from this. I doubt this is the last we've seen from Chikezie.

Look at Daughtry, Kelly Pickler, Katharine McPhee, Bo Bice, Josh Gracin

But David is GREAT.
My Dad and I have watched Billie Jean on youtube at leats 10 times since the show!
I'd buy a CD, the man is rockin!

I hadn't realized it (missed Ryan saying it), but David Cook's version of Billie Jean was a "cover" of a "cover", done first by Chris Cornell of Soundgarden. I do like David's version better.....but it did lower my opinion of him....... Wink

I agree Brooke, he is putting more effort in an "original" sound than most are, he's just a little too cocky for me. He is a great talent, he just bugs me a bit. I think this is why I haven't watched in a few years. It gets obsessive with me...... Rolling Eyes
