Has anyone competed (or just trained) with a Doodle in either flyball or agility?
My new obedience school people sort of rolled their eyes when I told them I have a Labradoodle (they have border collies, how boring) and told me "they can be quite a handful."
I plan to prove them worng as my Doodle is already 2 years old & a real slug indoors-I will show them all!

Yippee for the both of you!!

I started with Dakota in agility. The only real problem with Labradoodles can be their size for some of the equipment such as the teeter--Dakota is 80 pounds and agility does favor smaller dogs. The issue I had with agility is what do you do with the skill once they have learned it if you don't intend to compete? Flyball would be awesome!! Dakota would definately line up for that, but I haven't found anything for flyball in the Sacramento area. Sooo, our sport of choice is dock diving--another sport where the doodle world is unrepresented. When I was at a Splash Dog event waiting in line with Dakota for his turn to 'dive', one of the Splash Dog volunteers said, "Is he really going to jump? I've never seen a dog with hair that long jump before." Shocked Rolling Eyes

Good fun for you both
Denver is 100 lbs and tall so the agility is difficult for him.
We do not have the dock diving here either so we play lots
of fetch and swimming....................

Thank you for sending that footage. Wow.
I've never been to the Sportsment Show (last weekend in Toronto too) My dog training school staff were there putting on shows for 5 days (flyball). I will go next year.
Never see this on tv-something else I'm missing by having only Basic Cable!
