One thing I love about Doodles, there is very little to no smell about them. Even when pretty dirty they aren't stinky like some dogs get.
My older F1B sheds ever so slightly, mostly when I brush her out and its in the brush then. The younger one so far hasn't shed at all....3 months old.

I had a friend in High School that had 2 wheaten terriers and her house always smelled like "dog." Now that could be due several factors, but they did smell...I would smell like them when I left her house.
Just a thought.

Cool

Nancy...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Laughing

That's exactly what I meant, but didn't want to offend anyone. Thanks for spelling it out. The traits of a "Terror" are not what I wanted to deal with. That's just me! Laughing

I had a Kerry Blue Terrier...very similar to Wheaton but different color. Sadie had a musty smell when she was wet. Being a terrier she was high energy and while she was great with the animals in our family, both cats and dogs, she was very aggressive towards other dogs. She was bonded to me and only me. She didn't pay any attention to anyone else. Because of the aggressiveness, I would not want another.

I much prefer the sweetness and laid back personality of my doodle.

I had a Wheaton growing up and the only thing I can say is they seem like a more "stiff" personality...similar to what annie said. They are a non-shedding breed.

Isn't that the truth! My best friend has a yorkie named Izzy and I swear, she is very stubborn. If she is mad at you, she has no problem letting you know by shunning you.

When we would sit down to dinner, I would tell Sadie to leave and she would turn her back on us thinking if she couldn't see us, we couldn't see her. Stubborn like you can't believe Twisted Evil

Hi, I am new here - and the proud new owner of a delightful labradoodle.
If you are interested in a breeder my family bought my doodle from Eric and Danielle Johnson and you can see their link here:
http://labradoodle-ny.com/

My husband and daughter drove upstate to see their doodles, the dam and sire and their kennel facility. Both of them raved about this family and their dogs and kennel set up.

This puppy is almost 5 months old and a real clown. Full of energy and love. I am sure I will be wanting another doodle from the Johnsons.

I have always had dogs and this doodle girl is the smartest dog I have ever raised - I can't recommend a doodle enough and would definately make a trip to see the Johnson puppies - which are available now.
