Is this the annual event...? Gene looks in doggie rescue ads, falls in love, adds doodle.....?

I was about to say that you ought to quit searching the rescue ads, but something in that sweet face reminds me of my puppy, Blue, who moved to Idaho, so I Truly think you need to go meet him. He NEEDS YOU! He really is adorable.

So, Gene, I have one question, since it's raining here for the first time in my pups' life... how do you handle dripping wet dogs in the house? I need to know!

My recollections of flights to Ohio is how wonderfully lush and green everything is, and that it was either raining or snowing each time I was there.... so I know you have some experience!

GO MEET YOUR NEW PUPPY!!!

Deb....first off....is that a new litter in your avatar?? I noticed the "shrinking puppy pile" went away from your signature.

Let's see....how do I deal with drippy doodles?? I USED to dry them off with a towel by the door.....now it's kind of screw it and I just mop every other day or so.....

I have tomorrow off from work, so the kids and I are going to meet Roman.....who if we decide on getting him, will probably be re-named Rumor. My problem is big heart and puppies/people in need. It just breaks my heart to see animals or people in need...especially animals. I will only end up getting him if he needs me...and gets along with Miko. Jonah has never met a stranger, so he is no worry at all. It's all up to the little girl! Wink

OH, Gene, I wish you all the best in your trip to meet Roman tomorrow. Hope he and Miko are a big hit. If this becomes an annual event, when are you getting a bigger house?

No, that's not a new litter... still the original. I skipped the fall opportunity, lest I may have had 17 dogs in my family room, which would have been a bit much.

Now it's just Ginger left for sale, a true sweetheart who loves people and truly Wants to connect with her special human(s), but is a tad on the shy side, so is pretty cautious about new people. I'm seeking an adult home for her, or one with older children, say teenagers. She's Really sensitive, so a peaceful atmosphere would be ideal for her. I'm sure she'll settle in quickly as a devoted and loyal pet.

The rest are potential keepers. I've got the DNA test kits on order, so will be underway on the group test Soon! (I should check the front stoop and make sure they haven't washed away in the rain today!)

I wish I could figure out posting pictures, I could include one of my dear old Blue, who reminds me of Roman... his send-off shot the last night at home was all dressed up in a Great Pumpkin outfit. The new owner had mentioned that his little girls would probably be dressing him up, and that was a square I hadn't covered yet, so I hastened to the costume department at PetCo!

Three dogs sounds like a nice round number to me... five is great after seven, down from eleven, believe me! I wish you all the best tomorrow. Do be sure to keep us posted!!!!!

Leaving in an hour to go visit. Kids are brushed and deodorized, now burning off energy in the back yard. They're chasing each other over the ice that was in the water dish!! Wink

Thanks, Annmarie! I wondered too, and then I saw a reference in another of Gene's posts to the new dog and went nuts looking for the original thread where he talked about getting him!
