To my furry friends

How to Counter Surf for Turkey -

When Mom and/or Dad are getting ready to carve the turkey, run to a room far from kitchen, look out window and bark once or twice , run back to kitchen, repeat, barking more next time, run back to kitchen then back to window and really bark a lot and Loud and jump all over

until they come running, as soon as they are in the room, looking out the window to see what's upsetting you; dash back to the kitchen , grab turkey off counter, run and hide with turkey, lay down and have a leisurely turkey dinner

Mary you are sooooo lucky my doodles are sleeping and can't read this post1 hahahhahaaa

how to SAVE a TURKEY DINNER: crate all doodles when turkey comes out of oven and don't let 3 doodles OUT till all food is wrapped and put in fridge and dishwasher is running. FEED doodles AFTER dinner than take a long walk to work off calories Very Happy

We found a better alternative to crating...we gave them their natural knuckle bones we found at Petco...let me tell you...$10 for 2 bones is priceless...haha...we had 2 very quiet doodles for the entire day Smile

Dexter and Kirby sound like that had a great Thanksgiving Wink

I spoke with Linda, one of our friends taking care of Annabelle, she took AB a turkey snack thanksgiving afternoon Smile

we sure miss Annabelle, but she is doing well, Linda, Paul and John all go over every day and play with her, LInda takes her for 2 walks, shes getting even more spoiled while we are gone Smile

Aw Mary, I was hoping for a picture of Annabelle counter surfing when I saw that topic title, yet at the same time was glad there wasn't a picture that Cali might see! LOL

Great pictures Annmarie! What's better than having family together at Thanksgiving and contented doodles?! Not much I tell ya! Very Happy

I think Cin read this while we were eating our T-day meal. For the first time in her life, she was counter sniffing. Not surfing, but nose up and sniffing away. She usually goes and lays down by the back door while we're eating or in the kitchen for any reason. I'm going to have to password protect my internet!
