Thanks ! Last nite he had a bad night, pulled his IVs out, wasgetting dressed to go home Sad

but today was better, so will see what tomorrow brings

Mary--I just saw this post! I'm so sorry about your Dad's health probems but glad to hear that he's doing better. My thoughts are prayers are with you both. Please keep us posted.

Thanks Diane, When I spoke with Daddy today, he asked that we wait til he goes home for us to come up, he'd rather be able to visit with us at home, so unless he worsens, we will do what Daddy wants and wait

Mary do they have him on any strong pain meds, cause my dad did the same thing too and my mom had them drastically lower the dosage.
one night they couldnt' find my dad Shocked

hahhaaa he took everything off and went for a walk in the hospital hahhaha and ended up in someone eles's room----he has no memory of this either Wink

anyway, i sure am hoping he is home soon with all of you again...prayers will continue till i hear otherwise.

Mary, sometimes just being in the hospital causes a person to act like this. Especially if they are older. Processing all the new information all day, never any REAL peace and quiet, missing naps, not sleeping well at night, just WANTING to be home so much, it can make a person VERY irritable. Try and ensure that he is getting any needed nap during the day and if he is unable to sleep at night, ask for medication. I know I would be pulling out my IV's and trying to go home, too! Very Happy

Thank you, your prayers are very much appreciated - Doc said he might get to go home Sunday or Monday, so we will see - not sure if he will go home or to an assisted living facility for a few weeks Doctor had not been in yet when I called this evening

Thank you - he is still there, looking like a few more days, I think they want to get him more steady on his feet before they let him go home.
They want us to wait until he is home to come up, we can be more help that way, if he is doing ok, they'd like us to wait and come for Christmas, so we'll see how he does the next few days
