OMG, Tink! I have no words...nothing that can comfort...but I am with the others in prayer that Moses will return, unharmed and well.
Please keep us posted.
Someone may have picked him up and taken him home and is trying to find out where he belongs...don't give up...
Bless you and Moses... _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

Thanks to my wonderful husband, Moses just got home. He's filthy and hungry but seems fine. THANK GOD!
Greg was out looking for him this morning on foot and thought he could hear him barking but couldn't see him. He decided to do a bit of tresspassing on our NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS lot and found Moses down in a pit right behind their house. He was about 7 feet down in a hole where their well is UNCOVERED.
The neighbor across the road said he noticed the neighbors kids over there yesterday looking down into the hole so they KNEW he was in there and had said nothing to us.
We've had nothing but trouble from that family... We've gone as far as to hire a survey and erect a 4 plank wood fence between our lots to keep them away from us. It's their young female that I had told about being intentionally bred a couple weeks ago. Those people shouldn't have pets or kids... don't take care of either but of course they have more than enough of both to drive us neighbors to insanity.
SO thank you all for your prayers... they worked and Moses is home safe leaning against me looking like a dirt ball as I type. _________________ www.tinkerdoodle.net

Oh Tink, I can't tell you how relieved I am that Moses is safe. I remember not long ago, you and I were talking about the similar relationships we had we your Moses and my Seazr. The missing Moses was just tering at my heart . . . I'm not allowed to put in words what I think about your neighbors . . . _________________ Diane (and Dakota)

What a relief to hear he is home safe--he is probably exhausted. Aren't there zoning restrictions in your town that forbid such dangerous situations? (asks the New Yorker, whose state has at least 10 laws or regs that apply to any and every situation imaginable) _________________ Ronnie

YAY ! OMG what great new
Thank you God ! I am so HAPPY that Moses is home and not hurt
How awful that the kids said nothing to you - or the neighbors, they must have heard him barking - I will refrain from printing what I am thinking about them
I would be reporting them to the zoning board and the local police - most states now have laws about uncoverd wells because so many people have been hurt or died by falling in them _________________

Oh, what wonderful news!! Tink, I am thrilled that Moses is home and safe...when I think of the possibilities...it is just too much to consider!
I agree with the others, the neighbors have a nuisance in their yard with that well and the zoning department of your town should be notified about the dog being inside...and that the neighbors knew (or should have known) about it. The reason to report it is not to get any action for the horrible fate to Moses, but to put the city on notice that the danger exists and if anyone should fall in and become injured, or worse, then the city will share liability for not forcing corrective measures.
The neighbors should be cited for this well. You could file a complaint with the city/county attorney (DA) and ask them how you file to have them charged...there must be some local law broken.
But then again, even though Moses got out by accident...the neighbor could probably turn you in for him being loose...so, it might start trouble...still, I would let the city know so that they will put them on notice to cover the well.
Oh, man...I am so happy that Moses was found...good for your dear husband! _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |
