For those who love to take pictures, what type of camera do you have? I've been toying with the idea of getting a new camera for a while now. I thought because mine has a low zoom it was the reason why it wasn't taking good pictures. But now I'm not so sure, since most camera still have 3x optical zoom. Is there something in particular I should be looking for? I borrowed a Canon Powershot the other day, and it seemed to take much better pictures. So, what do you think of this camera?

I've got the cannon powershot a630

I like the cannon because of the handle. I'm not very stable of a picture taker(don't even want to think photographer! Rolling Eyes ), so it helps me out a lot.

I have a Nikon 8800 with a 10x zoom and I also purchased the option telephoto lens. It is an expensive camera, but I enjoy wildlife photography, etc. It is also the last camera I ever plan to buy. Uhhh, plan is the operative word!!

Not only can I take goofy, silly pics of Dakota, but the Nikon also allows me to take photos like this--which could be a lot better if I had any idea of what I was doing!!! Embarassed Laughing Laughing

I have the Casio Exilim. It fits in my pocket because it's about the size of a cell phone. I just wish it had a longer zoom.

Mine is a Kodak 743 Easy Share and I love it. For what I use it for I'm well satisfied.

Mine was gift from my hubby and came with the printer dock as well.

Paul's the professional photographer of the family....he lugs around HUGE dealies with all kinds of lenses and attachments....LOL!!

I just got a new camera this past spring---I wanted small, big LCD screen, decent zoom factor, and movies w/sound....all for under $250....hehe, tall order BUT...I did find it...the Sony Cyber-Shot W55---I love it!!! It's not bulky, I can tote it around easily and plus, I can take movies with it---too cool!!!

even if those movies are anti-climatic like this one! Wink Laughing Laughing

Good luck and we'll look forward to seeing GREAT pictures from you in the near future!! LOL!!

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I really do. I've never been accused of being the steadiest person in the world! Confused

I have a fugi S7000 has a 6x optical - nice camera does more than I ever use it for but I like it.

Dh has a fugi A700 7.3mgpx only has a 3x optical though - it takes better closeups than my camera so I use it when photoing my paintings - it is much smaller than my camera and I like that, has 2.5" led screen easy to use camera.

The thing I like about both camera is they use AAbatteries - reg or rechargeable, so if we are out and batts die we can use reg AA's

That's a beautiful shot, Diane! I have a Nikon D70 and I love it. I can take photos like this:

always assuming that I can get close enough to the critter. I shot some pictures of bald eagles today while we were out on the river, but I didn't want to disturb them by getting too close, so they don't look like much. Figured I'd show you the heron instead.

My excuse for the Nikon is that it's necessary for my portrait business!
