I had Jonah on his gentle leader when the plumber came back. As I opened the door, the leader came unfastened! But Jonah never jumped up!! I was so impressed. The plumber said he has a calming effect on dogs....I guess so! Jonah is worse with my family! _________________ gene , jonah , miko and rumor

Yeah Jonah! Good boy! Fingers crossed Gene that the plumbing job isn't too involved or too expensive! We all know how these home projects can morph out of control! Let's hope not this time! _________________ Meg and Cali |

Darn Gene, I was going to call you to come take care of the drain in the basement utility tub! I may have a similar story when I finally decide to take care of it myself! _________________ Lisa, Lani and Toby

Sigh...
It's from watching the plumbers fix what my dear dear Mr. Demo-man tried to fix (a Mr. Fix-it he's not) that I learned how to do plumbing. I'm now the plumber in the house.
However, that being said, I know all about the old plumbing in houses. I feel you pain Gene. That's a real kick in the wallet!
Enjoy your faucet! |

Ooooh ... Aaaaah .... aren't they prettier when the cost that much?!
We just had major work on our 52 year old plumbing as part of the never ending remodel! All the old cast iron ... gone. But in the first bathroom the sink and hardware are fused together. We'll have to replace the whole kit and kaboodle!
(Anyone know where we can find a pristine 1955 square sink to retro fit into a same age vanity? ... Ohhh, by the way. It has to be PINK!
Any Gene ... I empathize ... love old houses .... hate old house problems! _________________ Mary and Ebbe,
