ethridge....I used to have 2 dogs and 1 cat here in the past. And like small children several times a day they would race around, play tag thru the whole house, then chase tails and then start all over again...after a few months it let up and they ususally wrestled playfully.
Your cat se a new toy aka MURPHY hang in there
by the way, curious ...who's dominant? Murphy or akisu? _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

Hey all! Sorry for the long wait. However it is because Murphy is doing wonderfully...at my brothers house.
After awhile we realised that we really didn't have a lot of the things we needed for Murphy, time and SPACE where the biggies. So when we came to the painful conclusion I contacted my brother who lives in Chicago. He has been wanted a dog for years and I had told him about Murphy and he started looking into finding a breeder he like the sound of him so much. Well the thing is years ago they had adopted a dog and it had bit their oldest child (they have 4) and my sister-in-law had decided there was a no dog policy ever since. They had just bought a 16 room farm house out in the country and where in the process of moving in when he had told me he was going to try the dog thing again. So after Eric and I talked about it we decided to fly Murphy to Chicago. There he met my brother and went home to their huge house and four kids.
I am proud to report that everyone is in love and happy and well. Murphy starts his day by playing fetch in the house with a non-stop 3 and 6 year old. They fight over who gets to feed him (theres a schedule now) and he sleeps in the bed with my brother and sister-in-law. He goes with them to family functions (ie. pizza at grandmas every Friday) and is already up to his Doodle antics. My brother told me how the other day Murphy was out in the yard and my sister-in-law was trying to call him in so she could go take a nap with the youngest. He was acting as if he didn't hear her. So frustrated she called my brother at work, he told her to put the phone on speaker and he whistled for him like he does when hes at home. Murphy came running full speed inside, through the house and laid down on his bed like "Well you ready to nap or what?" So Murphy is doing very very well and is providing an invaluable service as a wonderful dog to a full family that in my opinion desprately needed him.
With that said this will be our last post and thank you all for all of your support and insight it allowed Murphy to go where is is truly needed and will be forever loved...and we get to visit him!
Thanks again,
The Ethridges |
