If you are anything like me, if you see a free publication regarding dogs, you go ahead a pick it up. I got one yesterday at the day care place Marley goes to. In it were excerpts from different articles published in their entirety on the website. Some are informative, some are just short stories. This article moved me enough to send a link. I have read just a few of the articles/stories but I found them all to be quite good. The links on the side post archived articles as well. I have not read alot of them, just three so far. These two have were my favorites..so far. Take a look if you like. I enjoyed them and I hope you do too.
A Dog Auction... My Own Personal Experience.......This one is a gripping story of the bad and the good of dog auctions

A Reader’s Personal Experience in Love and Loyalty......... This one is a story of the the struggle of one courageous dog and the loyalty of dogs, friends, family and vets.

I read one last evening to Marley, but I am not sure he understood the moral of the story.

That first one was SO sad....tears are running down my face.
It is sad that there is a division among the rescue groups. I can see both sides of the issue, but I feel that once the dog is born, the only decent thing to do is save it.
Puppy Mills will NOT be stopped because a handful of dogs don't get bought. They will only stop through LEGISLATION and enforcement of the law.
Thanks for sharing! |
