DEA - so sorry you had this experience. I am with you there are a lot of thing I can tolerate but DISHONESTITY is not one of them, especially when people are just playing on others heart strings. I hope you find the perfect doodle soon. WE ARE WISHING YOU LOTS OF LUCK!!

Oh DEA! I am so sorry! I cannot believe the lies??? I lost my mother to cancer 5 years ago, which is also the year I got my own health clearance from cancer... so this story hit VERY VERY close to home... how could anyone do such a thing? The worst part is that Savannah will and has suffered because of a bad bad selfish person!!! My heart aches!!!

That is just so low, it makes me sick. I hope Savannah finds a new home where she will be loved and cared for instead of shoved in a kennel when the owner couldn't deal with her anymore. Dea, I'm so sorry you went through this. I can only imagine your hurt. Sending hugs your way!

Annmarie, I think the post should stay

Thanks all - I believe the post should stay.

Cancer is so ugly and to use it to get rid of your dog is just beyond the pale to us.

I'm sure she will find a wonderful home; maybe the owners will even reconsider their decision. They must be hurting deep inside themselves to resort to this.

I shouldn't be judgmental and so, will just leave this all alone now. My prayers really should go out to these folks and for Savannah to be the dog they loved when she was "good" for them.

Hugs to all, Dea

Dea, you are a good, kind person. It is very obvious that you help whenever you have the ability to...many people, and dogs, will come into your life and each will be blessed in one way or another.
Your forgiving attitude is so touching...you are a great example.
I'll pray for little Savannah...

Dea, certainly you are completely justified if you do not want to let us know what has happened. However, I think everyone would like to hear how you are doing and if we can help in any way. Even if it just words of encouragement or if you just want to vent a bit.

Just know that you are in many peoples minds and hearts. Take care!!
