2 weeks ago we met up with a respectable NorCal breeder and purchased one of her 12 week old North American Retrievers! We love him(Blue) to death and are extremely grateful for the opportunity to raise him and be apart of this new breed. Blue's mom Rosie is an F1 Goldendoodle and his dad is an F1b Labradoodle. He is black now but we're thinking and hoping that he goes a gun-metal gray later on since he has the blueish skin. Anyone else out there loving on one of these bundles of joy?!

Hey, I was just reviewing this thread...and find it sweet that Blue is actually the product of our debate! (Nitos and Rosie) Cool! Keep us posted about how Blue grows up...likes, dislikes, everything! We can all learn from your experience. (Plus I love puppy updates!) _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

There is a breeder I've run across lately who didn't know about the NAR title at all and calls her "SuperDoodles" her website is sensationalcompanions.com -- she seems very nice, I know her from other forums. Her thinking is that the "retriever" name brings to mind the temperament of a working retriever which is not the most compatible for "family companion"/pet dog. She's really interested in discussing other possible titles to call this mix. _________________ -Adina
