Can anyone tell me if a doodle puppy has blue eyes at five weeks will they stay blue or are they likely to turn brown?

Denvers eyes were blue till 7 weeks and changed to gold
so most likely they will change ....very rare to stay blue.......

WOW! That is interesting. So the breeders that have blue or green eyed Doodles (adults, not pups) means that there is some other type dog in their genetic background?

Does that mean, as a breeder, that you do not want to see a blue or green eyed pup? Because that would mean that it is not a true (in the sense that it came from a two purebred parents) Doodle? And again, I know they can change color, I am wondering only about pups over 6 months old.

Green somtimes i guess that may happen I suppose,,havent seen it
I had a Carmel with green eyes but ended up turning to a Golden Hazel color, as most of mine do

I certainly would not want one of my labradoodles or goldendoodles
maturing with bue eyes,

its possible i suppose with the aussiedoodles but with first cross it is
highly unlikly

I see! There is a breeder who charges more for the Goldendoodles on their site that have blue or green eyes. But they must have something else in their background and not true Goldendoodles.

Very interesting!

Dexter's eyes are a very light hazel...and almost have a green tint to them (but they aren't actually green).

Sadly I cannot remember if they were more green when he was a puppy...

If they are hazel now,,its likly they were green as a puppy up util appx 16weeks ,,when they are that pretty of Hazel that is normally the case,
it happens with red, chocolate dogs or dogs with chocolate or red parents
my pups ihave now i think will end up with that color eye,,i just love it,
they have such soulful eyes when they are that color Smile
