Hope you feel better soon Jonah! My right ear is infected too...had this problem all my life, and Dad cleaned it last nite, and put medicine in it..Otiotic I think...feels better today, but Raleigh is always licking my ears, and probably contributes to the problem!! Rolling Eyes

GENE sorry to hear Jonah isn't back to his usual self yet and glad you have the vet appt.
will wait for an update........as we all know our doodles and when they act out of character something is usually up

Just got back from the vet.....he put on another #!! Could it be the cookie jar he raided when I went out for a quick errand today? hmmmmmmmmmmm??

The vet said his ears smell good now, keep using the drops for 2 more days, then clean really well with peroxide. Then clean once or twice a week.

The took blood so they're doing a cbc and other blood work. They'll call tomorrow with the results. He still has no fever and no blockages. He thinks it may be allergies that are making him a little crabby, but he said they'll do the blood work to make sure it's not an internal infection.

Then Jonah and I went to Caribou for a little outing since it's too muddy and chilly to go to the park. He got to meet a bunch of people and had two little girls love him to death. He loved it for two reasons. One, he loves children, and two......they had been eating ice cream. They basically squeezed and hugged him to death!! It was so cute.

Now we're home and he's zonked!!

Dex and I just got back from the vet too. His ears are fine, although the vet did pluck them for me. He said the tick bites could very well have made him feel a little feverish and off. So we got vaccinations, heartworm test (negative), Heartgard, Frontline, and toesies trimmed. Now he's worn out too.

After blood tests and exam ($145), Jonah is completely healthy. Vet said to put him on benadryl for the weekend to see if that helps. Of course, he said it will probably make him tired. Oh well, at least he got a clean bill of health and the pollen will be better soon...... Wink

hope the Benadryl works for Jonah, this spring has been the worst season for allergies in quite a while in a lot of places, I know it is here !

I'm so glad Jonah is well. Allergies are no fun, but at least they're something you CAN live with. I hope the benedryl works.
