That's hysterical...the "what the heck" head tilt!! Laughing
It's a little different than the regular head tilt.....
Coco will do that one, looking intently at me and then quickly she'll look away..... eyes darting back and forth at me over and over with a sort of avoidance about it........like she's thinking, "surely she isn't talking to me!!! I'll just ignore her!"
Cool

There is someone looking to adopt a doodle in the Chicago area under "considering a doodle"!

What a cutie! I love the description 'what the heck head tilt'. That says it all! We get it every time we ask Cali if she wants to go for a walk as if she can't believe what she's hearing!

Oh, Windex...I got all choked up and my eyes swelled with tears as I read how narrowly Jack escaped his fate...thank God you were there for him! He is a beautiful, smart, sweet dog and when I think of someone giving him up to be killed like that I get so boiling mad!
Look at that wonderful face...the intelligence, the expression...you are truly an angel!
I think I'll go cry now.
Tears of relief and joy...and gratitude for your selfless acts of love for this sweet boy. Thank you!

Jac... thanks for the reply Smile
However, it is the work of IDOG that let the vet tech know that IDOG existed and of its work. She is a real angel... I guess she has grabbed a few from that Ft. Wayne shelter.

Whew.... I really can't tell how I am reacting to Jack allergy wise.. darn this pollen outside!

I absolutely agree about IDOG! Shannon started out on this forum, and she started to rescue doodles when she could...then one by one, she started working with other people to help and she has saved so many lives...now she has Jo and Beth and the IDOG support and people like you to care and give and rescue these precious souls...
It is remarkable, and very touching.
But seeing the pictures of your new baby, and hearing his story...well, if anyone can hear about him and see those pictures and still feel that "kill shelters" are the best option...they have no heart.

Thank you Leah for taking this sweet boy on. I hope he is not affecting your allergies.

Let's also not forget that sweet Parker came from the same shelter. We have taken 5 doodles from there since November. This shelter used to have a very high kill rate. Megan is always finding rescues for the dogs, and always calls me immediately when a doodle comes in. They still euthanize, but without people like Megan, Kristin, Leah, Deb, and Mike and all of our wonderful foster moms and dads, these doodles would not have had a second chance.

It takes a lot of love to open your homes to these special doodles.

So, I just want to say thank you! Laughing
