Problems with the garbage truck

We have had an ongoing issue for several months...the garbage/recycling truck comes through our neighborhood ridiculously early (5-6 am) on Monday and Wednesday morning (I need to call the township to see if this is allowed - the truck is very loud). Kirby goes crazy when he hears it. It is difficult because we're always dead asleep and then the barking starts (of course then Dex wants to join in).

My husband started keeping treats in his nightstand to try to distract Kirby...but by then we're already awake. It is really really annoying (I barely fall back asleep and have to get up for work).

Oh - my husband has been out walking Kirby and encountered the truck and he was totally fine - didn't bark at it at all...but he will bark at the window if he sees/hears the truck.

Any ideas? He was better today because he was so tired from the weekend and I think he slept through some of it. I don't want to make him sleep away from us - we have just been tolerating getting woken up early.

call the municipality. Do they really have to start THAT early? Sorry no doodle help. both of ours know the command, "go back to sleep".

maybe a city ordinance is in order..in our area of town there
are no delivery s allowed till 6AM..

even grocery store s with home close by can not
receive trucks till after that time..

How annoying! Ours comes at around 7AM.............I definitely would call about that. What an ungodly hour of the morning to be picking up garbage and all that racket!!

Mine garbage truck doesn't come until 5:30PM sometimes. I wuld hate it to come early cause half the time I forget to take the trash out!!

Mine seems to come whenever he wants! Lucas has recently started barking at him, and has woken me up because of it!
