Laughing Yippee! 20 minutes alone while I ran to Wal-mart and she was fine. No "presents" and no destruction!

Smile It's nice isn't it? That's what we did with ours...started very small (15-30 min) and worked up. We're now leaving them unconfined for up to 5.5 hrs.

Good going, Sadie! That's the way I started leaving Nicky uncrated home alone—a little while the first time and then slowly for longer and longer periods.

I've left him for 5 or so hours with any problem and I could probably leave him longer, but for how much longer? He'll be 17 months old tomorrow.

We have left Ozzie alone, out of the crate, for up to 30 minutes now (fed and walked). We shut all bedroom and bathroom doors, but our single story house has an open floor plan so the kitchen, dining and living rooms are all one big open area and Ozzie has access to 70% of the house.

Ozzie has never attempted to chew furniture and does not have "accidents" in the house so I'm not worried about that. My main concern is the possibility of him jumping through a window screen (or even worse, a glass window pane) to get outside. So far no problems.

Way to go Sadie!!!

We have been leaving the 2 doodles gated in the kitchen and eat-in, for short amounts of time... but it seems Miss Della discovered how to climb over the gates...

Today it was for over an hour and again, no problems! She's confined to the downstairs by a baby gate. I don't know if she thinks we're upstairs or what.
I think she's doing great for just 7 months old!
