I hope you heal quickly Diane! What a bummer to start the spring/summer out this way... but no time is good to be laid up.

Whine away Diane! In fact, I'll join you on Friday when I have bunion surgery on my right foot. We can have a pity party. Too bad we can't get Dakota and Cali together to play. I too will be frustrated at not being able to garden. And Cali will wonder why mom, the chief dog walker is no longer taking her on her walks. I'll have to get the chuck-it out too, although Cali doesn't bring the ball back! Shocked Guess I'll just have to get a bucket of tennis balls and when it's empty have one of the kids gather them all up. Anyway, hang in there!

Thank you everyone! I'm nervous, but feel better knowing you'll be thinking of me. My son is having surgery the following Friday, so the two of us will be on crutches. Thank goodness my daughter is home to help us out during the day while hubby is at work!

I'm doing okay after the surgery, thanks. It's more of an inconvenience and a test of patience than anything. My doctor is big on pain management, so I'm resting comfortably! Very Happy No driving for 4-6 weeks since I had my right foot done. Having my daughter home is a huge help. So, I'm biding my time, reading, doing sudoku and crossword puzzles, napping and eating chocolate I got for Mother's day. Very Happy Oh, I have a lot more time to jump on the forum too! Very Happy

Cali is adjusting okay. She doesn't get as long a walk as when I took her, but, thankfully she is a calm doodle overall and isn't climbing the walls. When my daughter asks Cali if she wants to go for a walk, Cali comes and checks with me to see if I'm coming too. So cute. She's rediscovered her duck (the mallard that so many of our doodles have) and is making it last longer than usual. I think she feels pretty clever dismembering it to make more toys from one. She enjoys picking up one of the many pieces and tossing it about. She also is spending more time on squirrel patrol at the back door. Thankfully this is a quiet past time for her!

So, that's the scoop from here.
