It was only a matter of time before the terrible personal costs of your recession hit the forum!
We are lucky here in Canada, although we follow the U.S. lead, it seems we are predicting less instability.
Re home foreclosures: I just don't understand how the laws allowed the institutions to lend money to people who were so strapped, without explaining that interest rates would be changing.....so sad.

Lynn those are too funny (and sad)

yesterday gas was $3.45 - $3.57, pays to know prices ! We save 3 cents a gallon at walmart by using a walmart shopping card to pay for gas - well worth it, so it was $3.42 for us

Government is gonna have to hand out a rebate to everyone monthly just for us to pay for gas Evil or Very Mad

sadly most of the GWB rebate some will be getting next month will go to offset the increases of prices of everything and not to stimulate the ecomomy!!

If anyone has a costco gas station near you, they seem to be lower...we went to one in Hawaii and saved about 20 cents a gallon!

we dont have cotsco around here Sad Walmart is our cheapest gas around

yes the Gov wants people to spend the rebates , I agree that most of the rebate money will be going to cover gas and things increased in price because of gas $$$$$$

Gas was $3.38 at Costco yesterday. It's not so bad for me, but Carol drives more than 100 miles every day to work in the rural NM schools and her mileage reimbursement rate is based on last year's gas prices.
