Gene: Thank you for finding this! I cried & cried.
I did see a little thing on the news about it, took place in Newmarket Ontario, not far from where I live.
We once had a paralyzed St. Bernard who recovered after 5 months of lying on a comforter in the den with the sliding doors open all winter,(boy was our house cold that winter, my Mom just said "Tough") electric heat, being hand fed and watered and changing green garbage bags beneath her rearend. No physio-we were afraid to hurt her.The vet had suggested we put her down.
April 1st, she wasn't there when we got up in the morning, we panicked and there she was, outside going to the bathroom!!!!!
The vet said her back had healed stronger than before the truck accident.
She was hit by a truck & lying on the side of the road-I somehow knew to get a door to put her on & I also knew to muzzle her (used my housecoat belt)Pretty smart for a 16 year old. Don't know where I learned that.
Hey, I forwarded this to the Ellen Show asking her to get the staff who went to such great lengths on the show!!

What a touching video

I live in Ontario and support our local SPCA with fundraising. There is a big fundraising dinner auction coming up in June that our company is sponsoring.

Hats off to all of the wonderful people who work in animal rescue and recovery programs like this.
