Wow Alaska! I've never been, but it looks beautiful! Beau will have a great new family and lots of snow to play in over the winters.

At the first of this thread I was thinking of a relay so you wouldn't have to put Beau on a plane, but I guess not!!

What part of Alaska? I live in Anchorage. Just as Kryczek was getting used to the snow melting, we ended up with another 6 inches on Sunday!

Funny, even though Dave and I will be bawling our eyes out when we bring BEAU to the airport in a week or so. The flip side I am soooooo excited that BEAU is going to a very special loving family. And he'll also get to play with kids and her family also has dogs, so Beau also can have dog playmates as well. Very Happy

I ALSO WANT to THANK EVERYONE for being so supportive, caring and helpful along with welcoming towards BEAU's new family. This is one the reasons this forum is great!!

OK i posted the UPDATE on BEAU's flight in another post
but will put it here too

Beau will be flying tomorrow on Thursday 4/17/08 at 11am
i am going alone as everyone I know is busy soo i'll bring a box of tissues in my truck with me for the ride home.

I am off and about picking up health certificate and shot records, Get a new tag made for beau, also buying a new crate for flight , water bottles, tape and measuring out food etc

I also bought BEAU some of his favorite toys and mailing them out today too
lots to do as we originally thought he'd fly out on the weekend but they won't fly pets as cargo via my area on weekends
so last night the decision was made ......and tomorrow my baby BEAU will become LIZ's and her family's new baby.

I am very happy that Beau will be with LIZ and thank you all for giving her such a warm welcome!!!!
yes i'll be teary eyed as I will miss Beau but inside know he's going to such a loving home and can't wait to hear of his safe arrival and tehn see pictures of Beau with his new family.
