A Canadian Labradoodle is scheduled to air on CNN's Larry King Live on April 2, which is World Autism Awareness Day.

Outside of a dog a book is a man's best friend. Inside of a dog it's too dark to read.

| Oh that is cool! I never realized how therapeutic a dog can be for special needs kids, until I saw it in action in our own home. I'm glad they are helping to raise awareness of this. |

Excellent! I'll have to figure out when it will be on here. I normally don't watch TV so I'll have to make myself a reminder.
Thanks!

What a wonderful story! I watched Larry King tonight because my child has autism. I was super excited to see the doodle. Beautiful dog and a sweet little girl.
I've posted this before but here is a video about animal-assisted therapy, which is not the same as having an assistance dog for one particular child, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Wow! What a great film! Thank you for posting this...Zack and Henry are a great team, eh? It is amazing how Henry can motivate Zack to do things that all of the therapists were unable to get through to him. Very moving.
Bless you and your child...you challenges must be overwhelming at times, but when you see such breakthrough behavior, what joy you must feel! _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com

Oops. I should mention- that is not my cute kid in the video.
But I also found the video to be a great example of animal assisted therapy. |
