I haven't had much luck finding a breeder who does enough testing for my comfort level who will have litters with puppies ready to come home between April and June. I'm looking for an F1b in the small standard/medium size range. If anyone knows of any older F1b puppies, say one year old or younger, that need homes, I'd like to hear about them. Gender is not an issue, but I prefer a darker color. _________________ Amy

Amyg.........what about personality or temperament?
and can i ask you a question? have you possibly tried learning so much since xmas that perhaps you're overwhelmed ?
what is enough testing? i am curious as i am trying to learn as some breeders on this forum test for hips, elbows, cardiac, vWF, Cerf, throid etc
and does an older puppy with no testing cancel out all the work you've done for the past 7weeks?
if you tell us what testing you're looking for then someone here may be able to refer you to a breeder in your area or one that ships.
I just would like to see you be able to find the right doodle for your home and heart so it becomes your forever doodle.
older puppies are great too.....just remember though think about What kind of personality would fit in with your family and lifestyle as these dogs are a 10-15yr committment _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

I am very overwhelmed from all the information I've been getting from different breeders. I've talked to many breeders lately and am greatful for their time. I guess I'm convinced that in order to reduce the risk of genetic problems, I need to pay more for a dog whose parents have been tested for hips, CERF, vWd (and gotten positive test results)- I don't know enough about how important cardiac, thyroid, & elbows are yet.
Temperament is VERY important to me. More so than color, type of coat, gender, etc. I have 2 small childeren so I want a dog that is gentle & more laid back, not one that needs to go on walks 3 times a day to get it's energy out. I'd like a smaller standard so I don't end up with a 75 lb dog. No minis - Somewhere in the 45 - 60 lb range or 20-23 inches or so.
If the puppy is older that would be great - but I still prefer to know that it's parents are tested. _________________ Amy

is there any breeders here that TEST that can possibly help out amyg?
her children are ages 6 and 9 and she has experience with dogs and unfortunately had lost a beloved pet in the past due to old age/illness.
she has a fenced in yard as well......so please PM Amy if you are able to possibly help accomodate her. thank you _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut
