I picked up my poor (but exceedingly happy) little 2 1/2 year old grandaughter at daycare today to be told she has head lice. My son never had this. We stopped and got a Nix kit. Oh my......the drama was never ending. 2 1/2 hours later she was exhausted and in bed. We treated her brother just in case. So....my question is can Cooper get this from her. We kept them seperated just in case. He's officially 16 weeks old!

Glad it's not transferable to doggies - that would be hard - hope the nix works fast for you

Sue and Denver - thanks so much for that article. Being a new doggie mom, I didn't even know where to start looking. This lice thing has not been fun....we are all itching! She tolerated the Nix for the 1st go around, but was quite the diva for round 2. Today we couldn't find anything but will repeat the lovely process in about a week. Thanks for the good thoughts from all!

Ugh - Lice is my biggest fear - my dd has enough hair for 3 adult women!

Make sure to treat everything her head has touched - including bedding, hairbrushes, hats, couches etc... Last think you want is for EVERYONE to get it!

Good luck!

Debbildog-your Avatar picture is exceptional, I love it!!! And we have treated everything and anything that could be a potential. Furniture, mattress, pillows, stuffed toys, carpeting, the list goes on and on. LUCKILY these little devils don't last long when not attached to human hair. Thank goodness dogs can't get it! Our other GD sounds like your DD, so much hair I'm not sure how I'd handle it all!!!
