Hi everyone:

I am getting confused about coat types. Can you get a lab looking puppy with a fleece coat or do they only have hair coats? Is there a site where I could see grown dogs that look more like labs with different coat types?

Sorry if I don't know what I am asking any help appreciated. lol

PS:No allergies so coat does not matter, just want to know what the different coats look like when they are grown

Yes you can get a labby look and have a wavy coat just check the body structure, stay away from the longer legs, look at the head and if it is blocky or not and if the body is slender or more hefty looking, then look at the coat you can usually tell about 5 to 6 weeks so if they allocate before then it will be hard for you to tell, a lot of the bigger breeders won't allocate until 5 to 6 weeks.
