Are your 6 acres of poopy places frozen tundra, or not?
Now, let's see....It will be in the 40's here tomorrow, how 'bout there?
Wow, Abby is a wavy fleece, very, very soft and
has that cottony downy undercoat that matts.
She doesn't shed, but oh! the matting.
I really don't think I mind a little shedding, since
then the coat seems easier to manage to me.
A curly wool coat though beautiful when groomed well...
that's the trick....keeping them well groomed to avoid a big mess
and having to clipper them way short.
Now... I used to think I was a bad mom for Abby's matts
when it seemed they are accumulating so fast....and I mean FAST!
I thought that was entirely my fault.
I berated myself under my breath as I required her to lay still
and let me work on them! She is so patient with me...and I feel awful the whole time
.....UNTIL, I came to the conclusion that even though she is brushed to the skin
and combed through to the skin at least three times a week....on one of those off days
some sort of monster gets in her hair and starts tying little knots
that become full blown MATTS in a matter of just hours....
This particular monster is distantly related to the larger monster, equally as sinister ....
whose sole job is to tangle all the computer cords back there.
I know laptops are fantastic
and all....but the short time I used one fairly regularly for awhile...
I am content withand actually prefer my PC, even with tangles.
Which brings me to matts again...Like prefer the PC,
I love my Abigail and Nellie Belle....matts and all!
Coco's coat is way, way easier...
though not as pretty, or consistent...as the others.
Can't sleep.
Thought I'd check back in and see if the notification thing is working yet.
Instead I rattled on and on.
I'll let you know.
Nite,
Jane
