Angels for Animals is where I got Rumor through petfinders.com. Well today they had their 3rd annual reunion party with prizes, food, Chinese auction, vendors, games, agility, etc. I got there with Rumor when they opened, then my cousin, her daughter and Chewie met us later. All day the staff kept coming up and asking if that was "Roman" (Rumor's name from them that I changed). It was like he was a celebrity. He must have had his picture taken 100 times! (He wanted to say that he knows how Bocker feels now!) I learned a lot more about him. When he first came to Angels, he was considered a special needs dog because of neglect. A couple of the girls told me of the hours they spent with him helping him with many issues. It was a story I heard over and over again. It about broke my heart. They did a wonderful job with him and made me so glad that I had a chance to find and give a forever home to Rumor who had such a horrible start to his life. From puppy mill to pet store to a abusive non loving household to abandonment, to failed first adoption. He seemed to remember quite a few of the women there...one he kept head butting into her butt everytime he say her, and another woman that he just leaned on the whole time I was talking to her. It was an emotional day for me.....I'm such a wuss. Angels is a wonderful organization. Since they built their shelter in the beginning of 2007, there has not been any animals put down in the area. They do such great work!!

Another exciting thing happed today! I met one of Jonah's sisters!! Not from the same litter, but shared parents! I can't believe I didn't get a photo. She's (Zoe) is cream colored and curly, looking more like Rumor than Jonah except for those eyes......and the excitability (9mo) Wink

She had a pink bandana and pink hair ribbons....too cute!
Talked to her Mom for a while, but never really got 3 words in edgewise to tell her about the forum....me bad..... Rolling Eyes

It was very hot, but I did get a few pictures......
