|
|
Hi all! Can anyone recommend a good camcorder? We need a new one and thought we'd take advantage of the July 4 sales.
A good quality picture is the most important thing (well, that and price! )
Size doesn't really matter- I don't mind if the cam is somewhat bulky.
It doesn't need to have a ton of memory space.
I'd like to be able to transfer the video to my computer easily.
And I like those flip out monitor thingies that let you see what your recording.
Thanks much! |

I really enjoy my Canon Power shot.
But, I have to learn how to take vides under 100MB's. It can be done! I just need to take the time to read. _________________ Linda & Bogart

MY son uses the Panasonic PVGS320
has excellent picture quality: a 3 ccd (means great quality)
has image stabilizer, can take pics in addition to taking videos
can do auto and manual settings
good in low light
price isn't bad cause I bought it for him after comparing so many with my son at too many stores hahhaaaaa
Cost $379 on amazon.com at xmas time
it also is great for action filming as this camcorder is used to
take skateboarding which involves low light, high movement
and trying to take still picture action shots _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

Avoid best buy like the plague. Go in there and find one you like, then get it 20% cheaper online.
Oh, and don't buy their extended warranty BS. With the speed camera technology changes basically if something goes wrong they will give you a camera that costs half as much and say it is close to the same model, then void the remainder of your warranty since it isn't the same camera.
Go online and do your homework! Impulse shopping doesn't work too well with electronics. |

Thanks for all the info everyone! Very helpful! Yeah, I guess I should try to shop online. None of the electronics stores seem to be having sales this weekend anyway. Probably because of high gas prices...and global warming...and those darn polar bears! |
