|
|
This weekend had the opportunity to go to Celluar Field in Chicago and catch the rivalry of Cubs vs. White Sox. We went to Saturday's game. We missed Marley , but it was a good test for him to spend some time with our neighbors and their dog Tanner. They will be caring for Marley when we go back to Buffalo in August. They had nothing but praise for Marley and his behavior. Way to go Marley!
Anyway, the trip to Chicago was a blast. To a fan seeing a rivalry game like this one ranks right up there. Listening to the trash talking Cub vs Sox fans was worth the admission alone. It was a playoff atmosphere.
Of course a little pregame tailgating is a required event!!!(notice Kathy's championship bean bag toss form!!)
Bean bags seemed to be the event of the day.
Great seats...First row, right behind the Sox dugout!!!
Close game..Ozzie comes out to make sure Jenks is ready to close out the win!!
It worked and the Sox took it,6-5, over their crosstown rivals.
And of course, not having enough enough to eat or drink during the game, when it was over, Kathy and our friends said goodbye and we were off to dinner.
Lots more shots if you are interested in seeing lots players a little closer.

Sunday afternoon, Marley was jumping for joy to see us back!!
He was dancing up a storm!!!!

OMG those photos are awesome!! I'm so jealous (front row seats????). We try to get to a Mets/Yanks game every year but didn't make it this year. We are going to Mets/Cardinals the last weekend of July _________________ Leslie M |

So is the point to throw the beanbag through the hole? Do you play to a certain score? Sounds like modified beer pong to me _________________ Leslie M |

LOL!!
Actually, Leslie---landing the bag on areas of the board around the hole scores major points.
LOL!!
Gene---I'd forgotten that's the name for that game!! Of course you'd remember--got corn in Ohio??? LOL!!
GREAT PICTURES, GREG!!!
THANKS FOR SHARING THE FUN TIMES!!
AWESOME SEATS!!! Looks like you had a blast!!!

haha...that sound great! Definitely would be a game right up my alley I somehow suspect those at the ballpark turned it into a drinking game
I'll have to ask my husband if he knows about it - he grew up in Illinois _________________ Leslie M |

Thanks for sharing the fun photos! I haven't been to a pro baseball game since i was a kid, and then (dare I say it?) We went to see the Twins a few times.
My grandma was a major Cubbies fan though! _________________ www.tinkerdoodle.net

Thanks for sharing! My family was at the game too but not in the front row. I stayed home with my granddaughter but my husband and two sons (White Sox fans) and my daughter (Cubs fan) survived the day together without any bodily harm. LOL!
