|
|
Can someone please explain to me (I am not tech savvy) what the difference is between my send box and my out box on this forum?
I replied to someone but it showed up in my outbox, not my sendbox.
Thanks! |

Outbox shows items sent that have not been opened by the receiver. Sentbox shows messages opened by the receiver.
If this makes sense to you.....please explain it to me because I think I just confused myself writing it!! _________________ gene , jonah , miko and rumor

I think Gene got it. The way I understood it is that as soon as the mail is actually delivered (regardless of if the other person opened it), it will go to your sent box. If it cannot be delivered for some reason it'll stay in your outbox...but I could be understanding it incorrectly _________________ Leslie M |

Well, those are two different things.
I have something in my outbox that I really want sent. If Gene has it right then I am just waiting for the person to open it.
If lmtoth has it right then something went wrong and it won't ever get opened.
Help! |

try opening the message in the outbox again and re-sending it....
outbox--like a draft or something waiting to be sent?
sentbox--message that has been sent.

I think Gene's right. It goes to the outbox if the person hasn't read it yet. Once the person reads it, it goes to the sent box. _________________ Kristen and Napa-doodle, the chocolate doodle! |

Yep...
Sent = Received and opened (no promise of them actually READING it tho...)
Out= Sent, unopened.
The only thing you can do is, as mentioned, resend; or notify the receiver that you sent something and it is unopened. _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

I take it all in stride....I have read enough here to know that laughter is key to having a good forum.
Besides, I have two kids, a work-at-home husband and a live-in mother in law.....I better have a sense of HUMOR!!!
