The dollar store diaper bag idea is a great one! I just wish they were biodegradable... but that'd make them too expensive... sigh. When I lived in the UK they had biodegradable plastic bags of all kinds and they weren't nearly as expensive... just a few cents more than regular. Anyway, I still need to try this!
I use a shovel and just bought a big painter's bucket I'll line with a garbage bag to carry around.
If I don't keep up on it every day, it's poop chaos out there! I don't know how two dogs can possibly have that much excrement! Too bad there's not a way to convert it into fuel of some kind! _________________ Traci & Stella |

I pick up poop daily. I line a small wastebasket with a grocery store plastic bag, then I use a garden trowel to pick up the poop and put it in the bag. I tie the top of the bag into a knot and toss the bag into a garbage can (which is also lined with a plastic bag). The garbage is picked up once a week. _________________ Sandy

| We picked up a small trash can with a step-lid. Line it with a small diaper bag and drop the scooper-loads right into there. We keep it in the garage so it doesn't sit in the sunlight and change the bag once a week on the day we put the garbage @ the curb. |

I just pick up with a plastic bag but I have yet to buy any. I "recycle" everything that comes in the house. Our newspaper comes in a plastic sleeve. I use those primarily but also save bread bags, etc for reuse. I don't get plastic grocery bags any more since I use reusable bags.

| Ditto to what Sandy does...except I should mention DH does all the picking up outside, while I get the task of the "indoor accidents". |
