Please accept my deepest sympathy in your loss of Kia. And thanks for reminding the rest of us to hug our babies.
I'm going to race downstairs and hug my doodles. All of 'em! (Well, Deva may not want me getting too cozy with the brand new ones just yet...)
Yes, Gene, since you asked once before, new avatar means new puppies, six last night...! If I can get photobucket to work, I can do a little better... _________________ Deb, Deva, Smiley, Lavender and Cherie

Thanks everyone for your kind condolescences. It took this long for me to even be able to report our loss of Kia and it still brings tears to this day. She was such a total joy and losing her just broke our hearts, especially since it was so unexpected. Thankfully we have Emmy to love on and she is stepping up! She enjoys the sole attention and REALLY likes sleeping in her mom's bed all night!
We are looking for a new playmate for her now that we realize we function much better as a multi-dog household. We corresponded with a rescue person in Jacksonville who has a 1 year old lab/weimarinar mix named Viper. From what we've seen he is a real energetic and loving dog - hopefully if things work out he can become a part of our family. The good news is that neither of us is in a hurry - she stated that she will wait as long as it takes to get him to his forever home and we want to get Emmy through obedience school before we change her routine/world once again.
Thanks for the kind thoughts - you all are really caring folks. Nadine |

That's a Really good idea to get her fully trained before you move on, and is a really caring thing to offer her, too, even though it would be easier for you to fill the void Now.
Best wishes for finding the perfect new addition to the two-dog family. _________________ Deb, Deva, Smiley, Lavender and Cherie
