There are actually quite a few fault lines in the central and eastern northamerica, more than people realize, several fault lines run thru and along TN, western TN fault line gets a lot of quakes

you can go to the USGS and click on any area of a map and it will bring up 6 months of earthquakes any where in the world - quite interesting

I was gone this weekend. And my husband had my three boys and Cacao. And my husband and kids slept thru it. But I don't know how Cacao did. My husband didn't get up so she may have felt it. But all her in IN ok.

We didn't realize anything was going on. But Ebbe was nervously pacing around the bedroom. Then she did something she never does ... climbed (well Marc had to lift the rear end in Embarassed ) into bed and slept with us!

Has never done that before and hasn't since. Later when we heard all about it her behaviour made sense.

Goofy Canada is scared of thunder... I cringe to think what she'd do if the ground started to shake! I kinda doubt she'd be thinking about protecting me. lol
Considering it was as big as it was, I'm just glad no one was hurt. The upper Midwest really wasn't built with earthquake protection in mind.

Cinnamon's BFF Sarah (we dog sit for her) is terrified of thunder. So much so that she can tell when it's the right kind of weather for a storm. She's our walking barometer. She hides anywhere she can get into and try places she can't. If the weather man says it's not going to storm, and Sarah says it is, we go with Sarah. It's really weird.

I was in central IL (Danville area) and didn't feel a thing. Some people claimed they felt an aftershock as well but I didn't feel that either.
