Maya will only try to steal socks as I am putting them on my feet!

That's one thing Cinnamon didn't have access to when she was a pup, so she didn't get a "taste" for them. But, she didn't chew rugs, pillows or couches. She got our slippers, shoes, wood furniture and woodwork, but no socks.

I wish Tanner liked socks...his favorite is pillowcases...whether there is a pillow in them or not. Gets to be expensive habit (King size cases = $25) vs sock at $5..... Rolling Eyes

Boyd at almost two years has mastered the art of sock stealing. I can hide them in the bottom of the laundry basket or underneath a pile of clothes and he will find them. He even took a pair out of my husband's zipped gym bag, yes, it was zipped and Boyd got the zipper open!!

What I love is once he has the sock(s) he will quietly slink away and go to his bed to chew on them. As if we don't know what he's done!! Laughing

Cacao likes many things socks the most. But she will take underwear, house slippers, stuff animals (they do look a lot like her's), and she can even take socks off my boys. She waits till they are watching tv and not watching her, she just takes a bite and runs. It is a game to her I think. Very Happy

Zoey is only 15 weeks and will hunt through an entire laundry pile to find our socks! Then the trouble is catching her once she finds one!

Ok so all these doodles like socks, but what do you do when your doodle has an obsession and eats the entire sock or pair of underwear?? Chloe has thrown them up before, but this time takes the cake. Today we were at my 92yr old grandmothers, and Chloe ransacked the house... going into Grandma's bedroom and stealing her nylons (within the first 2 minutes that we were there). Needless to say, there is only one nylon remaining. Chloe ate one and we are hoping it comes out either end! UGH! Confused

Caramiama....could you spell that out phonetically for me?

In my head, I may be mispronouncing...
Do a search on socks, I am certain several have eaten them before....
It really isn't too great for them to ingest them, as they do have trouble
eliminating them sometimes....either end.

Stealing them and chewing on them is OK...well, depending upon the rules of the house....but, eating them.....??????? not a good idea!

Welcome to the forum !.....I guess I haven't seen you on here before.
Sorry, I am not on the forum as much as I used to be....
Cool

Dexter ate a sock a few months ago and barfed it up 4 days later. For only being 1/4 lab, he sure has a lot of lab qualities!
