WOW!! OMG!!! You have been busy. Well for the name I have a few suggestions my friend is called Mugu. Her grandkids couldn't say Grandma. And my boys call my mom Nanna, and my mother-in-law Gran. Now my boys named them we tried to have them call them Grandma but it didn't work out. FYI whatever they call you will be special, and you have tons of time. But you are too young to be a grandma.

I hope that helps. I also hope life chills out for you.

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Wow Annmarie that is a lot of news. Congrats on the new baby!

It's funny how life goes sometimes. However we all know that you have a great outlook on life so you will get through these little bumps soon enough. Meanwhile have fun helping your daughter come up with names for both you and the new baby!

Oh wow, Annmarie! Congrat's on the new grandbaby! ?

My first GB is due Oct. 17th, so I can relate, though I'm a little older. Rolling Eyes I've always NOT wanted to be called Nana - sounds too much like a yellow fruit. I always thought just plan Gram sounded more like what I'd like to be called, but it will probably be up to the grand child with what I'll be stuck with.

Good luck with your renewed endeavor and with Dave's new job.

Congratulations! I like MiMi or MeMe but my daughter calls my mother-in-law Grandma. I am due just before your daughter, in mid-November. Very Happy

Too bizarre...Annmarie and I are the same age - she's gonna be a grammie, and I have a 3-year old. Was I a late bloomer or what??

ANNMARIE - CONGRATULATIONS from the bottom of my heart. It seems the roller coaster ride has started, so buckle up and hang on!!!!

You'll do great on all fronts...how can you not??

No wonder you've been lurking! You haven't had time to post!
Congrats on the Grandma thing! I like GranMarie myself too!
Glad things seem to be working out with Beau - In a perfect world, he and Max would become best buds overnight, but I know you will find a great home for him! Somewhere, someone is about to get a fantastic doodle!!!

I like GranMarie!!

Another approach is to go by initials...my mother-in-law instructed my kids to call her "J.B." and it stuck. Sounds more like a name you'd hear in the boardroom than in the dining room, and she likes that it is not granny sounding.

Of course it depends on what your initials are!

BEST of luck...congratulations on the (furless) baby!

GENE say GrandMa and you're history buddy!! hahhaaaaaaaaaaaaa

WOW so many babies due next winter!!
and Also thank you to all that shared with me having a grandchild or child come earlier than life plans......it does make me feel better

so, the shock wore off, i already got her a pregnancy book, went over a nutritional diet, PRAY she doesn't get the problems I had and also gestational diabetes but if she does, I am her to support her all the way!!

UPDATE on BEAU: a family in Alaska is VERY Interested and then there is my daughter's boyfriend's parents that are supposed to call me as well.

Lastly, in reality i guess i'll get called what my daughter and grandchild calls me hahhahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
And i look at things this way, God has decided to bless us with a miracle of life and I'll welcome this baby with open arms, a heart full of love, and more.

Doodles and a baby ... blessings all around!

Congratulations! As usual you are looking at what's with your usual sense of humor, positive outlook and good common sense.
I like GranMarie too!
But my Sweet Mom was called Grammy and am still partial to that name.

Now my Mother-in-Law ... when Marc's oldest nephew was a babe he and his folks lived in Dayton, Marc's Mom and Dad in Cincinnati.
As all parents do, when getting ready to visit Chuck and Diana would say something to the effect of "Let's get ready to go to Cincinnati!"
Toddler Alex (now 24) took it literally and to this day he and his brother, Andy refer to my MOL, their grandmother as "CINCINNATI"!
