New collar

It is so silly that I am so happy!! . . . Since Dakota was 8 weeks old, I have always wanted him to have a red leather collar. Well, either they were too big, too this, too that, we could never agree--obviously this was a major decision Wink

--so he wound up with fabric collars. Well . . . we misplaced his blue collar when we switched to the holiday red fabric collar. Never again found the blue so today, FINALLY, I was able to order Dakota's red leather collar that I always intended for him!! Oh, happy days!!! (I hope these kind of things will always make me this happy!)
Oh, yes, and I'm still awake because Annmarie somehow passed on her gunk to me!! . . .

Very stylish - I'm sure that will look great on Dakota (against his light fur)...I always go for the bright colors for Dex too.

Diane....honestly, I'm not trying to play keep up with the Jones', but Jonah and Rumor got their collars today, just like that, but different brand. And Miko got a pink leather collar (of course), but not a rolled one. They only had red, tan and black. They're so thrilled with their new collars that they're having a celebratory nap!! Rolling Eyes

We saw the collar at Petsmart for 17.99 (20"). Don't know why we didn't buy it then and there but we didn't. Later, I was doing something on ebay and just happend to type in rolled red leather collar. Several came up including the identical collar we saw at Petsmart. The asking price was $9.95, or best offer, plus $2.50 shipping. I offered $8.00 and they accepted my offer and I got a very sweet 'thank you' email to boot! Typing this up makes me feel very cheap . . . Embarassed

Annmarie; leather does well with water and does not smell. Past dogs I have had all had similar collars and all were water dogs!

Jett has had her red rolled collar for about three years now. I was going to take a picture to show you, just for grins, because it doesn't look very red anymore. Shocked

Also, watch for staining around Dakota's neck if the collar gets wet. You will all be pleased with the rolled leather collar in general. Copper wears a black one but you can't see it for the "poof gets in the way." Rolling Eyes
