NOTE: WHEN INDUCING VOMITING VIA HYRDROGEN PEROXIDE
it can take 10 to 15min for some dogs to vomit!! which happened to Peanut the night we did this.
ANOTHER NOTE: I am in the process of making a booklet with poisionous plants and foods complete with pics. When it's finsihed i will let you all know as it will be a great handy reference guide
ALONG WITH FIRST AID CARE
another thing i keep on hand now too..activated charcoal, hydrogen peroxice, syrup of ipeac,
to get: Pedialyte and Pepto Bismal
as we keep a first aid kits for ourselves, i now with the couple of scares we had recently am making up a dog kit too. _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

Oh, gosh, Sheila...I am so glad you took her in and that she is okay!
I always worry so much, sometimes I am sure that people think I am nuts....well, they may be right, but still...that's beside the point! LOL
You are so right and I really do appreciate your post!
We had a problem with wild mushrooms once, almost lost a dog to that.
I keep activated charcoal on hand and I know that hydrogen peroxide can help induce vomiting, but I am like you in that I prefer that the vet take a look because I am just guessing...and they can be more certain.
Good job! (Pixie is adorable, by the way!) _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |
