Lovely work Tink! Nice to have a springtime floral to enjoy, especially on those chily winter nights! Good work!
Daine...you are toooo funny...I can just imagine. But I do know that you sew beautifully...I have to take pictures of the various dogs in the darling bandana you made!
Loved the story about knitting. I learned to knit from a sweet Dutch lady in our neighborhood...she must have been an angel to take that on for someone she hardly knew.
So many creative and talented people here...thanks to you all for sharing your talents and brightening my days. _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

DAVE last summer brought home a huge piece of a resin like Column from Gollisano's house ( owner/creator of Paychex)
and then some chairs they were throwing out.
I stood there thinking what am i going to do with this stuff? anyway I had him cut up the column in 3 pieces and then went to home depot to buy the $1 cans of paint that are returns
here's what i did hahahahaa
I made 3 planters, painted them, polyurethaned them and filled them with dirt to the top
( no one will hit these in the driveway NOR steal them hahahaa)
and here's what $1 cans of paint creates along with tape
I call this my "silly chair" or lily tomlin chair

cute? nice? i think they're nuts hhahhaa but i had fun doing them
the chair though has dots on the seat you can't see.......and is right next to the gas grill. comes in handy to sit in while waiting for DAVE to cook during the summer hahahha:wink:
and this year i put a small metal round arch arbor behind the planters and offset it to have a Mandevilla vine grow up one side and climbing roses were on the other side
DIANE...........WHERE IS the pic of your tablecloth??? _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

Beautiful! Such talent. I will now change your name to "Martha"
Seriously, that chair would sell for huge bucks at a fancy outdoor furniture store! |

Annmarie, I LOVE that chair! I would never have been able to figure out what colors and in what patterns to use, and I really admire people who can do that. I'm great at copying something but not coming up with designs and combinations on my own. How DID you work it out? I agree with Linda - that would go for a lot of money in the right market. But what fun to have it in your own yard.

OK, I've been off the computer this weekend, but here goes...
Happy belated birthday, Tink. Do you ever check your inbox?
I too would like to see the infamous table cloth.
I love HGTV!!
Annmarie, I like what you did with the chair. My Dave would never go for the purple, but hey, the price was right! And what you did with the old column was inspirational! |
