And that in a nutshell says it all. Wink Wink
We all choose our Doodle generations according to what
we like. I chose my breeder after a lot of research and she
happens to breed F1's and her prices are in the range of what
is charged in BC for F1's anywhere from $800.00 to $1200.00
The people on this forum are very concerned for everyone's else's
dog regardless of what generation it is or how much money was or
was not spent. I hope we can put to rest the notion that one generation is better or is not better that any other as it comes down to preference
folks and that is all. Heck if someone here has a monkey and they
want to post something about it we would all be concerned and offer
help anyway we can. Enjoy your Doodles and every other kind of creature that you are lucky
enough to share your life with. Wink Wink Wink

Does that mean I'm lucky to have a buncha chickens and some geese, too? And what about the flies and mosquitoes. I guess we can draw a line somewhere! Wink Wink

Reading this thread, I've never had any luck with rescue or shelter animals. I researched labradoodles on this forum and elsewhere and got a really good sense of who the various breeders were who posted here, what kinds of puppies they had, and of course who wouldn't mind shipping if they were too far for me to go get the puppy myself. I've had people ask if I wasn't worried about buying a puppy sight unseen, without having a chance to check out the mom and dad and the breeder's home myself, and I really wasn't at all. Of course as it turns out my confidence was completely justified and we adore our puppy. She was less expensive than a similar pup in our area, and I knew that she'd had a wonderful home and great socialization before we got her. So research is paramount, and temperament is the most important factor, in my opinion. As several people have commented in other threads, even if you think you want a black or apricot or whatever, it's the individual personality of each dog that matters much more than appearance.

Lots of luck searching for your puppy, and please let us know when you find it!

Leslie

Gene I have an old Monkey, not in as good condition - When I was little and we woudl go to my GodMother's she always let us play in the "attic" room where there was all sorts of neat stuff - The Monkey was my favorite thing to play with - over the years he's been played with by generations of her nieces and nephews and he has been sewn back together many times, his clothes fell apart so she dressed him Mickey clothes - 3-1/2 yrs ago "Aunt Joan" sold her house, I was so sad, I lvoed it there, anyhow she came to Michelle and Mikes wedding and had a package for me, The Monkey, I was so honored that I was the one who she chose to give him too.
