I work in Regulatory for a Pharma company, my DH is a restaurant manager. The new Doods job is court jester to my very imperious French bulldog. He has also applied for the job of Chief Water Dish Excavator. (Do other Doodle dig in their water dishes?)

Maya digs in her water dish all the time. She only did it a couple times in the house cause she got in big trouble. Outside I had to get her a 3 gallon waterer cause she digs more water out than she drinks!!! (She doesn't get in much trouble when she does it outside). She also does it all the time at her daycare. The daycare staff tell me they think it is her way of telling them they needed fresh water!!! _________________ Heather, Morgan, Maya, and Sadie

Cali digs in her wading pool, but not her water bowl, thank goodness! I wonder why they do it? _________________ Meg and Cali |

I know Maya does it cause she is hot. She will make a big puddle in the garage and then lay in it. _________________ Heather, Morgan, Maya, and Sadie

It's wonderful getting to know everyone a little better. I've been following this site for years but only recently posted for the first time. My husband and I are empty nesters and semi-retired after selling our wholesale/retail business. I was stay at home mom and accountant for many years. Our daughter is a political consultant and our son is a C.P.A. and corporate auditor (yikes!).
Maya specializes in astonishing us on a regular basis. She adapts to whatever situation we put her in, and there have been many! She spends a lot of time in and around water. Some day I'll have to post her bird rescue story. |

I just found this thread so i figured I'd add to it seeing as how I'm a new doodle mom. It is great to learn more about everyone!
I am an elementary special education teacher (my caseload this past year had a mix of kids with ED/BD, learning disabilities, autism and a chromosomal disorder). I work a second job after school doing behavioral therapy with a 5 year old with autism. I am starting to think about doing autism consulting full time or going back to school to become an OT...we'll see how this next school year goes to see how that affects my decision.
Mark is an analyst for a bank in Chicago. He has explained what he does many times to me, but my non-financial mind still doesn't really get it. Basically making sure his bosses don't invest money in the wrong bonds.
Sadie is now 12 weeks old - our 2 year wedding anniversary gift to each other. So far she is a feet warmer, sock stealer, and cuddler. |

This is a cool thread. I also did not notice it before. I have just benn reading through it and it's quite neat to see what everyone does in there everyday life.
I have worked in the oil and gas industry for 18 years now. First 10 in operations the last 8 in production accounting (oil and gas accounting -different from financial accounting) I number crunch volumes first then $$'s after the volumes have been accounted ofr.
My husband is a business analyst for a gas measurement company. They receive the charts that companies like the one I work for send in and report the volumes to people like me.
We have 2 kids an 8 year old son and a five year old daughter. They are wonderful kids.
We have 3 pets, A cat named Bubbles, a quinea pig named Shrek and of course our Oliver Doodle.
Oliver is the comedian of the house and the cheif foot warmer (as you cannotever find your slippers anymore) He's my daughter Caitlin's very best friend in the world. _________________ Loving my doodle,
