Ellebee that is exactly the way Tejas is, he thinks everyone and everything is his friend No Question Exclamation Laughing You can just look at him and tell he loves life and everything around it!!! Of course I'm bias also as Maureen is.

Jac really has given good solid advice but we don't expect anything else from her now do we? Wink

OUR KELSEY HAS ALWAYS LOVED NEW FACES FRIENDS MAILMEN, BUT ESPECIALLY CHILDREN. SHE GOES NUTS WHEN OUT IN PUBLIC FOR KIDS..SHE WANTS TO LICK THEM ALL OVER, AND HER TAIL WAGS SO MIGHTILY IT COULD BE USED AS A TURBINE TO LIGHT UP THE WORLD.

I REALLY THINK SHE IS SO OUTGOING WITH NO INSECURITIES THAT SHE MAY GO WITH WHOMEVER. SHE HAS NEVER HAD ANY BAD EXPERIENCES WITH OTHER DOGS & I PRAY SHE NEVER DOES.

KOZMO OUR POODLE IS A BIT MORE RESERVED WITH STRANGERS. EAGERLY WAGS TAIL TO NEWCOMERS IN THE HOUSE, BUT WHEN WE ARE OUTSIDE HE IS A BIT MORE SHY , WHICH MAKES US FEEL SAFE TO KNOW HES GOING NOWHERE WITH JUST ANYBODY. SOMETIMES WE SEE THIS TRAIT PASSED ON TO THE PUPS WITH SOME BEING MORE OUTGOING AND CAREFREE & SOME STICKING CLOSE TO HOUSE WHEN OUTSIDE IN THE FRONT YARD.

ON ONE HAND ITS GREAT TO HAVE A SUPER FRIENDLY DOG, KNOWING NO BITES OR ATTACKS ON NEIGHBORHOOD KIDS IS A PLUS.
THE INVISIBLE FENCE HELPS FOR THE MOST PART TO KEEP HER IN HER SAFETY RANGE ........... BUT........ IF SOMEONE WITH A STROLLER AND OR A FEW KIDS ROAM BY, OFF SHE GOES TO VISIT AND SNIFF AND WAG THAT TAIL AGAIN & AGAIN.

JAC ALWAYS GIVES SUPER ADVICE. WE HAVE ALWAYS INCLUDED THEM WITH CAR RIDES WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG. NOW ALL WE HAVE TO SAY IS "RIDE IN THE CAR" & BAM SHE IS AT THE DOOR WAGGING HER TAIL...
SO SMMMART.....
BOTH LOVE JUMPING INTO THE CAR NOW WITH KOZMO LEEPING HIGH INTO THE AIR OVER KELSEY AS SHE IS GETTING IN. SO FUNNY TO SEE.

Chouette is very friendly, too. She's never met anyone she didn't like, and she's used to people making a fuss over her. She's great with adults and kids, although she will chase after kids if they run, and sometimes try to nip at their heels, so I have to watch that.

I wondered about her bonding because yesterday we took her to a pottery class where there was a friendly boxer, and at the end of the session we wanted to run down the street to get sandwiches. The people at the pottery workshop offered to keep Chou there while we picked up lunch. When we got back I had the impression that she hadn't even noticed we were gone. I'll have to ask them about it next time. It would make it a lot easier to leave her with someone when we go to France for two weeks in the fall, but you do sort of want your dog to prefer YOU. On the other hand, she's pretty young yet.

Annabelle appears to "want" to make friends with others but she is also very skiddish about it - takes her quite awhile to get used to new people - she also still, at 14 months, does the nervous submissive peeing thing, very frustrating as she doesnt do that all the time so you never know if she will or wont.

Anyhow, she is much better with new women than men, might be because she is around me all day.

I've had 4 labs, first 2 would go to anyone who looked in their direction - Heidi & Molly were more cautious of strangers and would stand at fence and bark like crazy, not sure if it was because it ws the 2 of them together or just how they were all of them including Annabelle were raised with tons of love and socialization so I think it depends somewhat on the dog
