He's adorable, but he's so much bigger than Chouette! Was there always that much of a size difference or is he just growing at a different rate?

Roy's leggy but slim....often Sheba's male puppies grow to be 26" or in that neighborhood. Sheba's 24". The male f1 doodle-dad is only 65lbs so maybe Roy will be a tall slimjim like his dad.
Does his having a shorter coat than Chouette cause him to look bigger too? _________________ ~Maureen

No, it's the length of his legs and how he looks draped across Rachael. Chouette doesn't take up nearly as much space! |

Cute, cute, cute pics, Maureen! Your little Roy is growing up fast! He is a doll baby...good look...one of my favorites! Beautiful coloring too...and...the child in the picture (yours?) is perfect! _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

Since both poodles and labs are water dogs, any labradoodle stands a good chance of being a water lover provided they're introduced to it early. I have a wading pool for my labs and poodle to play in and have to spray it out twice a day because they're in it so often. In this hot weather it's been a God-send for keeping them cool.
If you want less shed, look for a more poodle type pup. You will also find a wide range of activity levels depending on which breed they favor. My labs are just non stop energy where my poodle is much quieter. All are very friendly and affectionate, but the poodle is content to lean against you and have his ears rubbed, where the labs want to sit ON you and lick you till you have tongue burn. LOL
You can find exactly the combination you want if you're patient and work with reputable breeders. _________________ www.tinkerdoodle.net

thanks, Jac! Yes, my baby girl was posing with Royboy.
I hope he gets a home soon! I've set his price at $850 plus shipping now, if applicable...and he's supposed to meet someone tomorrow at our Doodle Romp if weather permits, so I HOPE he gets his forever home soon!
I have just adopted a future mom, and beautiful girl, so I could housebreak them together, but I think I would be willing to take the paycut and have him happy with his family than housebroken here, so that's my latest thinking on Roy Boy!
But yes, my sweet daughter will miss him! _________________ ~Maureen

Love it Leslie ...
When folks ask if Ebbe (an F1) sheds I truthfully tell them "No more than we do!" The only difference is the length ... short (Marc) medium (Ebbe) Long (Me ). I have a brother-in-law and nephew both of whom are extremely dog/cat allergic, but whenever they are around Ebbe their fine. _________________ Mary and Ebbe,
