Hey, Maureen...you know a LOT!
I realize that the logic is to expect 50/50...but in my case, I seem to get innundated with black! LOL
I am a bit gun-shy of black pups now that I am stuck trying to find great homes for my LDs from Lexie...*sigh*
No, I don't believe that Rosie carries chocolate, but she may...I have not color tested her yet, but she has a black nose so I doubt she has chocolate. Yes, Nitos parents (both of them) carry cream/red/apricot...I could hope...but don't want to be disappointed. Still, I agree, F1 GD to F1B LD seems like the perfect starting point. I'll let you know... _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

Hi Kristen!
I don't mind if you go off topic to ask about my pups! LOL
I hate to admit it but we have 10 pups that need placing...and I could use good guardian homes too if you know of anyone interested!
I read your update on Napa...my goodness...you, and he, are really going through it, aren't you? I wish you both all the best! He is so gorgeous! _________________ jacque.bayley.lexie.chase.rosie.nitos.amelia.dupree.madison.sherwood.gerry www.backporchlabradoodles-jacque.blogspot.com www.backporchlabradoodles.com |

Hi all!
I'm no genetics expert, although I have learned some a bit, but there is a basic web site that I find very helpful. It's only meant for labs, but if you can remember that the apricot/reds/creams all fit under the "yellow" then it may be of help! Hopefully it will be anyway! And it won't tell you if the colors will silver, etc. but I don't know if any genetic test can really tell you that. But what do I know! LOL....
Annmarie, would you mind sharing with me where you purchased your red GD from? You can do a PM if you prefer. I just love reds!
Anyhow, here's the site and I hope it helps someone in a small way. =)

Thread revival!!
2 weeks ago we met up with a respectable NorCal breeder and purchased one of her 12 week old North American Retrievers! We love him(Blue) to death and are extremely grateful for the opportunity to raise him and be apart of this new breed. Blue's mom Rosie is an F1 Goldendoodle and his dad is an F1b Labradoodle. He is black now but we're thinking and hoping that he goes a gun-metal gray later on since he has the blueish skin. Anyone else out there loving on one of these bundles of joy?!

Someone in my area has a litter of Lab/Golden cross pups for sale. Both parents are OFA, CERF, etc and the pups are very reasonably priced. I've been back and forth on the idea of getting a female pup for future breeding... of course to a standard poodle male. I'm just trying to convince myself to wait until I've got Chips DNA info back so I really know if I'll be using him or not.
I think I'm still a bit shell-shocked by the way things turned out with Moses, so am playing on the side of caution this time around.
I too think it could be an amazing mix. _________________ www.tinkerdoodle.net

TINK...a f1 to f1 cross hasn't worked out ideally in past
many had unpredictable shedding coats amongst other things
these are from testing breeders both in us and canada
along with them trying mult-gen Nars which were also stopped _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

Maya is a NAR. She is f1b ld mom and f1 gd dad. She is a shedder but I love her. _________________ Heather, Morgan, Maya, and Sadie

Well AnnMarie, this would be Poodle to Lab/Golden which would be the same percentage of Poodle as a f1 to f1, but delivered in a different way.
Like I said, I'm reluctant till I know more to stick my neck out. _________________ www.tinkerdoodle.net

I read read several times about breeding an F1 GD to a poodle where there was a complain as to the hair being hard to care for...really thick, tight curls.
I would think that this breeding Tink is concidering....would produce some nice coats? _________________ Judi,Tuesday& Marley(and little Reba too!)
