Congratulations I can't wait to hear how the construction site people found out about them and were able to call you. When you have bathed them and relaxed let us know the details that you know about. |

They have been asleep since we got home. Of course, they ate 2 bowls of food-apiece-first.
I got the call about 2:30. I construction worker asked me if I was missing 2 dogs. I was so excited! He said they have been hanging around for a couple of days. He thought they belonged to the man whose house was being built, as he lived nearby. He noticed the dogs had been sleeping AND POOPING in the house so he finally asked the guy if he wanted to keep his dogs away so they would not poop in the new house.....The man told him he did not have 2 dogs and threatened to "come and shoot them". The worker told him they had tags and that he would see if he could find out who they belonged to....Thank GOD he did. Can you even imagine?
Anyway, I was there to pick them up in 5 minutes FLAT! They approached me very casually....Like nothing had happened!
Lizzie is a bit beat up. Her belly is very scratched up and a bit bloody. I have an appointment tomorrow at the vet to have her checked out. Calvin has one rather large scratch on his belly, too. Looks good though. Scabbed over nicely. Maybe they went through some barbed wire?
Anyway, they are home and we are happy......
Thanks again!

Don't you wish they could talk, WOW, what stories they could tell At least they found a nice, new house to call their own until they were found _________________ Di & Archie

I ran home to look and was so glad I hollered outloud.
I wasnt so lucky when it happened to me, my dear best friend of 8 years snuck out with a new dog we had that kept sneaking out. I am the one that found my beloved on the side of the road and was home when the other dog came home non chalantly. I couldnt bear it and found a wonderful home for the dog that took the other one away from me. I had never gotten rid of a dog in my life, it was brutal but I couldnt bear the thought of looking at the dog that did this
Anyway my point in sharing is two fold, first I am ever so grateful that your babies were found and in good health. You have no idea how much I prayed for you. Second, do whatever it takes to make sure Lizzie cant take Calvin out again. You will not be able to live with her if you think she contributed to an unmentionable in the future. It seems once a dog is so inclined to escape they are not easily (if ever) broken of that.
Blessings your way. |

Leslie, My heart lept as I read the news, they really had a guardian angel watching over them. Who knew it would be a construction worker! Give them hugs and kisses from Lani and Toby. _________________ Lisa, Lani and Toby

Leslie,
I haven't checked the site for about a week.
After reading what you had been through my heart ached for you. You truly must have had someone looking over you and your pups - to insure their safe return to their loving home!
What a relief!!!!!
Enjoy! and God Bless.
