Couldn't sleep last night, thinking about your babies. I know someone, somewhere is taking good care of them and you will have them back soon. Hang in there and keep being strong for your children. Recheck all the shelters, vets and police and maybe start knocking on some doors today with photos of both of them. That way people that don't see the postings will still be aware and will keep an eye out. The more people looking and aware, the better. Lot's of prayers to St. Anthony coming your way.

I couldn't sleep either thinking about your situation! My husband is upset, my friends are upset and my co-workers are upset (sorry, I had to share your story with them). I am so very sad and I have tears in my eyes right now just thinking about what you are going through. I wish I lived near you so I could help you search for your dogs.

Still keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. Please do as someone said and have it announced on the radio. The more exposure the better. Leslie, do you have a flyer that you can scan? I have had contact with some of the shelters in OR and a lady that lives in OR. If you could scan it and get it to me, I can send out an email with the flyer attached. The more eyes the better. shannon@poomixrescue.com.

I know the feeling of a lost dog, and I have been searching ads here since she said they were lost. I search petfinder by dogs. Some of these shelters give the owners 3 days and put them up for adoption, and some will also put them on petfinder in the meantime for exposure.

Shannon, I sent you the flier....Let me know you got it.

We live in a small town about a hour from ANY town big enough for a radio station. BUT, I will call them today.

I keep thinking that shelters and vets and even just plain people would call the number on their tags. I seriously doubt Calvin could lose his collar. It is not a "breakaway" collar and he cannot get it off by himself.

I just keep hoping the phone rings....

I was not thinking they would lose their collars, but the tags could get caught, I am redoing your flyer and adding pictures to send back to you.

I'm praying for your puppies safe return. My best friend's dogs, a 2 year old St. Bernard and a 6 month old lab, went missing last week. She and I were sitting in the local restaraunt having coffee when someone came in and told her Lobo, the St. Bernard was running down the street when a friend recognized him and tied him up for Marcy to retrieve. One relief, but more stress cause Chance the pup should have been with Lobo. A day later, she was driving down the road and saw a crew of convicts on work detail and there was Chance, right in the middle getting lots of pets and play. She opened the car door and said "get in this car you escaped convict!" Chance came running and none of the convicts did (but we joked about it for a good while).

Praying you have good local people who will help your babies find their way home too.

Leslie,
I was checking around at lunchtime, and came up with
this website for Oregon. http://www.oregonhumane.org/lost.htm
They do have a lab that was found yesterday...I'm not sure
what kind of dog Lizzie is, which is why I'm mentioning this.
Still praying Leslie for their safe return....

One more source Leslie:
http://dogdetective.com/lost-dog-poster.cfm

This site had some great ideas for flyers and posters...you can even make the posters up on this site, and register your lost dogs...

Where should I put posters?

* Humane Societies, Shelters, Animal Control and Veterinarian offices
* Telephone Poles on busy intersections
* Sheriff & Police departments
* Fire Departments
* Pet & Grooming Shops
* Schools
* Day Care Centers
* Grocery Stores
* Post Offices
* Restaurants
* Churches
* Anywhere people gather!

Who should I give flyers to?

* All the mail boxes in your neighborhood
* School Bus Drivers
* Mailmen
* Garbage Truck Drivers
* Bus Drivers
* UPS/FEDEX Drivers
* Gas/Oil Delivery Drivers
* Florists
* Newspaper Delivery Drivers
* Anyone that drives around the area!

Good Luck Leslie...
Kathie

Leslie
Just read about your dogs going awol. I would like to add my good wishes to the many that are posted here for a safe return for your dogs. What a sense of relief it will be when they are safely back in your home. I hope that happens very very soon.
