oh boy, here i was totally distracted today getting new food for Max hoping it will work this time, dropping by the VET to consult, and still worried about Max.
Seems I got pulled over by a stern mean new cop in my town about 1/2mi from my house. I see the lights, go ohhhhhhh nooooo!!! say a little prayer, hold out my license and wait , wait and wait some more for the cop to come to my truck.
he said I didn't FULLY STOP at the sign by the post office I then say OH YES IDID hahah Cause I had to put my seatbelt on!! hahahaa
anyway, he said you look a bit frantic and I told him about POOR Max hahahaa ...he then looks bewildered, checks my whole truck over, goes to his car and comes back and say" go home and take care of you dog and relax",
This is the same cop that gave out tickets alllll day long on my road! _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

Nancy
I was with the Vet 2 times this week. The said with his bland diet and the tons of water I add to it making it like a soup!! Vet said he''s getting enough moisture at the moment.
I am watching him like a hawk here 24/7. I might even try buying a new water bowl too? Yesterday I ran my bath went to get a towel ...guess who was drinking the water faster than a camel ina desert?!
He's on antibiotics, acts happy and active, steals everyting in sight again since yesterday, eats likea horse, does doodle runs....NOW I am just as concerned as you are as even though he's getting enough moisture
this change in drinking habit has me thinking....I may be bringing Max in again tomorrow or Saturday.
there's NO fever, he'sNOT dehydrated, his stool came back negative now, he's acting like his ususal self.
it has me completely puzzled! The vet said he's also been under alot of stress the past 12 days!! He pees like a racehorse too!
sooooooooooooooo nothing is wrong, his poop is firm finally and now why doesn't he drink from his water bowl? _________________ Annmarie, Max,& Peanut

Why does Cinnamon ignore the water bowl inside and want out to drink out of the bucket outside? Because it's there!!! Bucket has clean water in it and is for drinking, but she will walk right past her water bowl to go outside, drink from the bucket and want right back in again.
She doesn't do it now because it's winter and the bucket will freeze, but until she got used to it not being there, the only time I filled up her water bowl was when it was dirty. I think Max is just telling you that he'd like his water shaken, not stirred! Or maybe he likes his water warm not cold? It could be worse - shut the toilet lid now!!! |

Hi Annmarie, my vet has me give my dogs watered down gatorade when they are sick and not drinking, good for puppies also. Either that or pediolyte. _________________ Di & Archie

my dogs like TW (toilet water) they know how to lift the lid
they absolutely refuse to drink out of a bowl. it will get green as it sits there.
the only way they will drink out of a bowl is if we shut the bathroom doors and they are dying grrrrrrrrrrr
(on the other hand my 5 year old flushes everytime and has for years ) |

Annmarie
If I put a bowl of tap water, next to a bowl of bottled water, next to
a mud puddle that looks disgusting, Denver will drink from the mud puddle everytime.LOL
